Purposes of practicum

the objectives of this project are to provide opportunities for university students to observe teaching and practice abroad. In order to raise the level of my own teaching and pass on knowledge about their own experiences abroad to the next generation. This project has supported teacher educators to practice their English language skills. Getting to meet different cultures abroad and Opening up different perspectives about the outside world gave me experience that I never had before regarding coaching. and experimenting with teaching abroad

Procedures of practicum

The procedures for interns are divided into 3 steps.

• The first step is teaching Observation Week It was a week of learning many things. Explore the environment around you, School History by the teacher-student classroom, and the characteristics of teachers' teaching methods are explained. Then I learned to adjust myself to live a lifestyle in diverse cultures and adapt in daily life, also what is important is the school system in terms of curriculum, grading, and activities. of the school organized for students

• The second step is training in the second and third weeks. It's been an exciting week and second practice. When learning about the school system and the teachers' teaching curriculum, they use everything they learn to create lesson plans for the students they teach. In order to teach to students by preparing teaching materials. I went to teach students with advisors and friends to help with various matters when there are problems in teaching. and provide suggestions for adjusting teaching plans This is very important. If there are no mentors and friends An apprentice will not succeed.

• Step 3 is to evaluate and summarize the training. The evaluation will take place in the 4th week. The evaluator will come and evaluate for 2 hours in 1 class period. The evaluation will be done during teaching. Assessments will be conducted by counselors and classroom teachers. After the evaluation is completed The advisor reflected the results to the teaching students. and apply it to your own teaching and further develop yourself.

Outcomes of practicum

What I got from the training was that I was really excited to train abroad. I've encountered new things. Discover new things, meet people, learn about daily life, and religion, and most importantly, gain training experience. It allowed me to see similar and different teaching methods. Teaching is different from teaching in Thailand. Studying takes less time and is thought to make students more useful and happy in class. They also gained experience from mentor teachers in SMP and SMA schools who provided knowledge about teaching classroom control, guidance, and learning how to write lesson plans from the Indonesian core curriculum. which are both similar and different throughout the experience lastly Thank you project That gave me a lot of experience, allowing me to develop and improve myself in various areas. It has made me a better, more capable person.

The challenges of practicum

The challenge with this project was communicating with students. The trainee students use English to communicate but have problems with the language. Because the students will speak most of the local language. But I was lucky because the class was kind and respectful. and have fun learning in that classroom there will be students who can speak English. This can help explain to friends in the class who thank the students for their help in teaching. And I learned basic Indonesian language and mathematics to help communicate with students more and have more fun.

Overall impression

The impressive thing about this project is that it was able to overcome the walls in one's own mind. Because I'm afraid of doing something I don't like to express. But when this project happened, it made me open my mind to trying interviews. And I'm on this project. I am very glad to join this project. If there is no project I would probably be a person who doesn't express myself,

This project has given me valuable experience in various fields.

I learned how to teach from my mentor. Studying the Indonesian Mathematics curriculum exposed me to a variety of cultures such as Islam, food, the environment, and general daily life in Indonesia. Finally, Mathematics is a difficult subject. But we teach English as a mathematics subject, which cannot be said to be very difficult. But I got through it. It made me improve my English skills. and learn more about mathematics. Finally, thank you to the project for giving me a good opportunity. If there is a good project This kind of thing happened again. I hope to be on the list again.           

Suggestions for future improvement

Tadulako University and Lab School would like to thank the university administration and school administration. In terms of accommodation and utilities, Teachers Akbar, Teachers Arif, and Teachers Mam Rini helped teach basic Indonesian speaking and suggested creating lesson plans for use in the classroom. in Indonesia And thank you to friends, brothers, and sisters who help in various matters. such as making teaching media Volunteers to help with classroom teaching, translating, and teaching the Indonesian language.If not all I probably won't be able to come to Indonesia. Nor did I have the valuable experience of being in Indonesia
